‘The Sum Of It All’ is due to be released on Disney+ on May 3, just a few days before his next album ‘Subtract’.

The documentary follows Ed during the making of in his most personal album yet and the adversity that the pop star has had over come in the past few years.
Sheeran opens up about his wife Cherry Seaborn’s tumour diagnosis as well as the death of his best friend Jamal Edwards.
In the new trailer, Ed is seen in the back of a car, accompanied by his wife, who later explains “He hasn’t had the time to process and be at peace with his thoughts.”
This will be the first time Ed openly discusses the pain he has had to work through since his touching Instagram post where he revealed his wife’s diagnosis and said that there was “no route to treatment until after the birth.”
In the same post he also reflected on the loss of best friend Jamal Edwards where he said that the intense grief sent him “spiralling through fear, depression and anxiety”.
Subtract has been in the works for a decade and is a compilation of his “deepest darkest thought” and is a “trapdoor” into his soul.
The album is out on May 5th, just two days after the documentary hits the streaming service.
