Idris Ebla will reprise his iconic role as ‘Luther’ in the upcoming Netflix feature film
Netflix has finally confirmed in a recent Twitter post that the popular BBC psychological crime drama Luther will be adapted into a movie.

After much speculation, the streaming giant also announced that Idris Elba – who played the titular character and has been pushing for a film adaption of the television series for years – will return as the brooding Chief Detective Investigator John Luther who investigates dark, gruesome murders.
Elba is set to be joined by two new co-stars, Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings) and Cynthia Erivo (Harriet & The Outsider), who will reportedly play two different villains in the movie. Netflix also revealed that Luther will be written by none other than the series creator, Neil Cross. Stay tuned for more details about the film and its potential release date
