Woman left with swollen eye socket after violent attack at a northern suburbs corner store

NT Police have arrested four people after allegedly assaulting a corner store employee on the weekend.

The female offenders – a 32 and 15 year-old, along with two 12-year-old – are accused of punching, kicking, and throwing milk crates at a Wulagi Supermarket employee who was on her lunch break at around 3:20pm Sunday.

One of the offenders is further accused of standing over the employee, holding a milk crate and threatening her to stay still, while the other three offenders went into the shop and smashed glass cabinets, before stealing a quantity of alcohol and cigarettes.

Police attended the shop and reviewed CCTV footage, arresting the group shortly after.

The group are expected to be charged this morning, with police refusing their bail.
