The number of deaths on Territory roads have risen after a 45-year-old woman has been struck by a car.
Police say the woman was attempting to cross Bagot Road Wednesday at 8:55pm, before a 73-year-old driver hit the pedestrian.
The driver and other vehicles on the road stopped immediately until emergency services arrived, where they then declared the woman dead at the scene.

The elderly driver tested negative for alcohol, and the accident is being investigated by the Major Crash Investigation Unit.
It’s the second death on NT roads for this year.
