A Code Yellow remains in place at Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospitals due to a spike in patient admissions.
The hospitals have come under pressure following an influx of patients requiring acute care.
A Code Yellow, an internal emergency, which allows measures to be enacted to help ease the strain on the hospital system, was declared on Friday.
NT Health says elective surgeries are being reviewed, with some procedures already deferred.
It says plans are also in place to reallocate resources to help with admissions and discharges.
It is the second Code Yellow declared at Top End hospitals in the space of two days.
Katherine Hospital experienced an increase in patients needing emergency care, with a Code Yellow enacted last Thursday.
The declaration was lifted on Friday afternoon.
