A person is feared dead after a ute rolled into waters at Dundee Downs.
Police received reports a vehicle carrying two people crashed near Six Pack Creek Boat Ramp at 4.30pm yesterday, trapping those inside.
One person managed to get out before the car sank, with police yet to confirm that another person remains in the vehicle.
The Major Crash Unit, Water Police and general duties officers are working to recover the car.
Detective Senior Sergeant Brendan Lindner is warning motorists to avoid the area.
“There are currently roadblocks in place along Barramundi Drive and the Javalin Road intersections.”
He says anyone who saw a white ute in the area yesterday afternoon is urged to contact police.
“Or anyone with knowledge of those involved and how the crash occurred, is urged to make contact on 131 444 and quote reference 24017950.”
