A man is due to face court in Darwin today accused of exposing himself to children at a restaurant in Stuart Park.
It is alleged the 44-year-old also tried to discreetly record the children on his mobile phone.
Police later executed a search warrant at his home and seized several items.
He was subsequently charged with two counts of indecent dealings with children under 16, gross indecency in public, failing to comply with storage requirements and driving an unregistered vehicle.
Detective Senior Sergeant Matt Akers has commended the efforts of Child Abuse Taskforce.
“NT Police work tirelessly to identify and prosecute offenders who commit these type of crimes involving children.”
“This is a timely reminder to speak with your children about how to act if approached by a stranger.”
