Investigations are underway into a large brawl and hit and run in Palmerston overnight.
Police received reports of a disturbance on Cornwallis Circuit in Gray where multiple people were fighting with weapons at about 9.20pm.
A 30-year-old man is accused of hitting a 31-year-old woman with his car before driving away.
She was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver handed himself in to police a short time later.
It’s alleged he was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash.
Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Day says he is assisting police with their enquiries.
“Investigations into both the disturbance and hit and run are ongoing with Detectives from Serious Crime expecting to charge the 30-year-old later today.
“Anyone with information, particularly if you have CCTV of the incidents, is urged to make contact on 131 444. You can also make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
