Four teenagers have been arrested over spate of car thefts and break-ins across Greater Darwin.
A business on De Latour Street in Coconut Grove was the first place allegedly broken into, with a Toyota Landcruiser stolen in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The vehicle was used to ram a security gate as the occupants fled the scene, leaving a trail of destruction.
Less than five hours later, the group allegedly broke into a business on the Arnhem Highway in Humpty Doo and stole a quantity of alcohol.
The group are further accused of breaking into two other businesses on Aralia Street in Nightcliff and Travers Street in Coconut Grove, stealing two more vehicles, grog and other items the same day.
One of the vehicles was spotted by Strike Force Trident travelling along Casuarina Drive yesterday before being dumped in Aralia Street.
Despite fleeing into nearby mangroves the boys aged 16,16,13 and 14 were arrested with the help of the Dog Operations Unit.
The two 16 year olds have been charged with unlawful entry, stealing, aggravated use of a motor vehicle and causing damage to property.
The 13 and 14 year olds will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
