A 24-hour fire ban is currently in place for the Darwin, Adelaide River and Barkly North fire weather forecast areas.
The ban will remain in place until midnight.
The Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT and the Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service issued the ban period at 3.30pm yesterday.
The affected area includes Darwin, Adelaide River and Batchelor emergency response areas, the Litchfield Municipality and Coomalie shire, and the Elliott Emergency Response Area.

It follows several fires burning around Darwin, including a bushfire reported on Old Railway Corridor at Darwin River at around 2pm yesterday.
Another bushfire has been reported on Letchford Road at Blackmore yesterday at around 3pm and was spreading on more than one fronts.
