A cyclist is in a critical condition after being hit by a car in Darwin.
Police say the driver of a ute collided with the cyclist outbound of the Stuart Highway near the Woonler Road intersection at around 5am Friday morning.
The car has rolled over and hit the traffic lights in the area during the incident, and two outbound lanes are now blocked off as the traffic lights are not working.

All motorists heading out of Darwin City are being urged to go via Tiger Brennan Drive or Gilruth Avenue/East Point Road and keep clear of the area.
