A 70-year-old man has been rushed to hospital after an alleged aggravated burglary in Moulden at the weekend.
Police say shortly before midnight on Saturday (September 28), a 21-year-old and 35-year-old man entered a home on Moulden Terrace armed with a pitchfork and hammer.
It’s then alleged the homes occupant, a 70-year-old man, confronted the pair before an altercation took place.
Authorities say during the altercation the 70-year-old resident fell down an outside staircase.
He’s been taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Following investigations Detectives from Serious Crime managed to find and arrest the two alleged offenders.
They’ve been charged with a string of offences and they’re bail is set to be refused.
