Confident England Fan Stuck with ‘Risky’ Tattoo After Loss

An England fan, Dan Thomas from Swindon, faces double disappointment after England’s loss in the Euro final. Before the final match, Dan was so confident in England’s victory that he got a tattoo celebrating the win. The tattoo features the Euro trophy with the text “England Euro 2024” above and the word “Winners” below.

Following England’s semi-final triumph over the Netherlands, Dan expressed his optimism to The Mirror, saying, “I thought England would get far, so it’s come as no shock. I’m pretty confident. I think it will happen. I wouldn’t have got it done if I didn’t think it would happen. I think it will be close and I think it will be 1-1, but go to extra time. I think we’ll win 2-1 at extra time.”

Sadly, Dan’s prediction came true, but not in England’s favor. Spain secured their fourth European Championship title with a dramatic 2-1 victory over England. Mikel Oyarzabal’s 87th-minute goal dashed England’s hopes, despite a valiant effort from substitute Cole Palmer, who had equalised in the 73rd minute.
