An employee at a Katherine Service Station has allegedly been assaulted during a robbery at the weekend.
Police say the incident happened at 2.51am yesterday (July 7) at a United service station on Katherine Terrace.
It’s alleged a man tried to leave the store without paying, when a staff member locked the doors to try and stop him.

It’s further alleged the man and two others with him then assaulted the worker, eventually prying open the doors and fleeing the scene on foot.
Police have arrested a 17 and 18-year-old in relation to the incident.
