A Nightcliff local has allegedly caught two would-be burglers in the act.
Police say at about 6 last night a man returned to his home to find a 20-year-old woman and a teenager lingering around his home.
Northern Watchcommander Vicki Koum said he then discovered the pair had stolen a number of items before fleeing the scene.

“Obviously he’s notified police and police attended and conducted investigations which led to identifying both offenders, locating and apprehending them,” she said.
“The 20-year-old has been charged with unlawful entry, stealing and obtain benefit by deception.
” The youth charges are pending.”
